Author Guidelines

The Manuscripts

The manuscripts received are in the form of papers based on the results of empirical studies or literature, which contribute to the development of new knowledge, theories, or methods in Islamic studies and cultural studies. Authors are asked to submit their papers electronically using the online submission procedure to the International Journal of Islamic Religion and Culture Studies (IJIRCS). The corresponding author must also state that the manuscript is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Editors will ignore submissions that do not follow this procedure.

 

Structure of the manuscripts

Title. The title must be clear, engaging, informative, and at most 20 words.

Name of author and institution. The author's name must be accompanied by the author's institution and email address, without any academic title. For joint papers, one author must be named the corresponding author.

Abstract and keywords. Abstracts should be less than 250 words. a brief abstract of the problem gap, research objectives, research methods, research results, conclusions, and limitations. The abstract contains 5 to 6 relevant keywords based on keywords in research findings and literature searches.

Introduction. This section explains the background of the study, a review of previous research in the field, and the manuscript's purpose. Significantly, the report must also demonstrate the significance and novelty of the study.

Literature review. This section explains the theoretical study following the theme of the survey conducted.

Method. This section explains the types and approaches of research with appropriate analytical tools, data sources/participants, data collection and analysis techniques.

Results and Discussion. This section explains the results of the analysis. This must be presented clearly and concisely. Authors should explore the novelty or contribution of their findings by comparing them with existing literature and theory.

Conclusion. This section concludes and provides practical, theoretical, and policy implications and limitations, if any, of this research. Decisions must be drawn from the matters discussed in the previous section of the manuscript (discussion).

Reference. This section lists only papers, books, or other types of publications referenced in the body of the manuscript.

 

General Writing Format

The manuscript is prepared on A4 paper, in one-sided format and one-line spacing. New paragraphs should start five characters from the left margin, using Garamond font size 12. Manuscripts should be written in good English. Manuscripts should contain 15 to 25 pages (3000-7000 words). The top and bottom margins are 1.5 inches. Titles are written using capital letters only for the first word or notable names (example: location names), font size 14, center position. Subheadings are written using capital letters only on the first word or unique name, font size 12, starting from the left margin. Subheadings, if any, are written using capital letters only for the first word or memorable phrase. They should start from the left margin. Sub-subheadings, if any, are written using capital letters only at the beginning of each word except connecting words, all of which are in italics. They should start from the left margin. References should come from publications of the last ten years (>80%), except primary contacts (80%). Referring to any textbook should be minimized (<20%).

 

Specific Writing Format

Equations and formulas must be numbered (1), ( 2)... etc. to the right. Estimation results from a software package cannot be presented directly in the paper. They should be shown in a summary table.

 

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures are presented as follows:

Naming tables and figures should follow the numbering system (Arabic numbering system). The table title and image are placed at the top and bottom respectively. Tables and figures should include the source of the information, if any, at the bottom. Any table should only contain title and content. The table only contains rows without column rows. Notes and sources should be included below the table where appropriate.

 

Acknowledgment

Acknowledgments are intended as thanks to those who contributed and played a role in the article writing process.

 

Citations

Citations in the body of the text should be written using the family name and year of publication. Example:

Hill (2001) suggests that the purpose of depreciation is….

Inflation targeting alone is sufficient (McCain, 1982).

The definition of contagion is... (Wagner, 1976; Rhonda 2009).

Authors are advised to use Mendeley or Zotero Reference software.

References

This manuscript is expected to involve at least 30 major and current references to emphasize a high-quality contribution to knowledge development. Citations and references must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style. References should include only works cited in the text of the manuscript. Reading the APA style manual (http://www.apastyle.org/pubmanual.html) is highly recommended to complete the manuscript submission.

 

How to send the manuscript

The manuscript in Microsoft Word should be sent to the editor by clicking the Online Submission tab on our Website . A brief bio containing full name, academic title, institution, telephone, mobile number, and others should be written in the data fields when registering online in the website submission.

 

Final Decision

 Taking into account the results of the peer-reviewing process, the decision as to the acceptability of each manuscript for publication will be notified to the author(s) through the website system in the following alternative conclusions:

  1. Accepted without revision or
  2. Accepted with minor revision, or
  3. Accepted with major revision, or
  4. Rejected.

 

Article Processing Charges

This journal charges the following author fees.

Free Article Publication: 0.00 (IDR), APC fee will apply to the next issue of the journal, starting for the third Edition (Vol. 1, No.3). This journal charges the article publication fee for supporting the costs of wide open access dissemination of research results, managing the various costs associated with handling and editing of the submitted manuscripts, and the Journal management and publication in general, the authors or the author's institution is requested to pay a publication fee for each article accepted. The fee covers DOI registration for each paper ., Checking the article similarity by Turnitin; the final results will be sent to authors (by request). If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you can waive each fee. We do not want costs to prevent the publication of worthy work.
