Amin Abdullah’s Hermeneutics and Its Implementation in Contemporary Islamic Education: (A “Fresh Ijtihad” from Philosophical Paradigm to Practical Dimension) 2025-11-18T00:25:32+00:00 Yu'ti Maalahuyatazaka ymzakka90@gmail.com
Introduction to The Problem: M. Amin Abdullah’s hermeneutical thought emphasizes the integration of religious and scientific knowledge. His epistemological paradigm seeks to overcome the dichotomy between religious and secular sciences, enabling Islamic education to respond to contemporary challenges. Purpose: This study analyzes M. Amin Abdullah’s concept of hermeneutics as an epistemological framework and its implications for reconstructing contemporary Islamic education. Amin Abdullah’s hermeneutics is not merely a method of interpreting religious texts but an epistemological framework characterized by a triadic–circular–hermeneutical model that facilitates dialogue between the text (hadlarah al-nass, bayani reasoning), context (hadlarah al-‘ilm, burhani reasoning), and contextualization (hadlarah al-falsafah, ‘irfani reasoning). Methods/Approach: This study employs a library research method in which data are collected from relevant literature and analyzed through a theoretical–philosophical approach. Findings: Through a hermeneutical approach, educators act as (readers) who cultivate divine–spiritual awareness (Authoritative Author) in students (audience) through engagement with both religious texts and sciences. Hermeneutics requires creative imagination (hadlarah al-falsafah) in integrating Islamic education with the social, cultural, political, and humanitarian realities of the contemporary era. Research Limitations: This study employs a conceptual–interpretative approach, limiting comparative breadth and empirical generalizability. Restricted access to unpublished material may also affect internal validity. Originality/Value: This research offers a new perspective by positioning Amin Abdullah’s triadic epistemology as a foundation for reconstructing Islamic education that is contextual, integrative, and responsive to global and humanitarian challenges.
2025-11-19T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 IJIRCS : International Journal of Islamic Religion dan Culture Studies https://ijircs.com/index.php/1/article/view/64 Utilizing Gawāmil al-Kalīm as a Digital Tool in Hadith Takhrij and Sanad Analysis 2025-07-15T16:45:35+00:00 Lutfina Aribah lutfinaaribah@gmail.com
Introduction to The Problem: The rapid development of digital technology demands efficiency in the process of searching for and validating hadith, which previously relied heavily on traditional methods based on manual references. This presents a unique challenge in the study of hadith, particularly in terms of takhrij (authentication) and sanad (chain of transmission) analysis.
Purpose: This research aims to examine the use of the Gawāmil al-Kalīm software as a digital tool in the takhrij and sanad analysis of the hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Design/Methods/Approach: A qualitative approach is used, employing both literature review and implementation study methods. The researcher tests several hadiths through the Gawāmil al-Kalīm application to assess the speed, accuracy of sanad tracking, and the validity of the matn (text). Findings: The study findings indicate that this application enhances efficiency in tracking hadith and greatly supports the learning and scientific research process. Its features make it easier for users to quickly and accurately understand the structure of the sanad and the status of the hadith.
Research Implications/Limitations: A limitation of this study is that it has not yet been widely tested in formal academic settings, and there is a lack of in-depth field studies.
Originality/Value: This study contributes new insights into the integration of Islamic scholarship and digital technology. The Gawāmil al-Kalīm application has the potential to become a strategic tool in improving hadith literacy and digital curriculum innovation in Islamic higher education, while also encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration in the era of digital 5.0.
2025-07-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 IJIRCS : International Journal of Islamic Religion dan Culture Studies https://ijircs.com/index.php/1/article/view/57 Social Constrction In Religious Traditioan (An Analysis of the Sacred Grave Pilgrimage Practice in Lombok) 2025-07-02T09:21:07+00:00 Rudi Herianto heriantor13@gmail.com
Introduction to The Problem: The tradition of visiting graves in Lombok, particularly among the Sasak community, has deep cultural roots and is firmly grounded in religious and social beliefs. Purpose: This study aims to explore the meaning of grave pilgrimage from the perspective of the Sasak community, as well as to identify its role in spiritual, social, and economic life, including its influence on religious tourism. Design/methods/approach: This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, focusing on several graves that are considered sacred. Findings: The research findings indicate that grave pilgrimage is not only a religious ritual but also a form of spiritual expression, a reminder of death, and a social gathering event for maintaining relationships. Originality/value: Grave pilgrimage also holds potential as a source of religious tourism that can provide economic benefits to the surrounding community.
2025-07-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 IJIRCS : International Journal of Islamic Religion dan Culture Studies
